Barry Rodgers A dynamic visionary with an ability to make things happen. Barry is the founding director of Emu Gully and has had many years experience working with people of all ages. Combining his passion for young people and for our ANZAC heritage, Barry has played a vital role in developing Emu Gully from the ground up. Previously, Barry was the Principle of Hillcrest Christian College in Melbourne and has vast experience in business. Barry recently organised the 90th anniversary reinnactment of the Charge of Beersheba, and is heavily involved with the Australian Lighthorse Association.
Barry's latest commitments include extending Emu Gully to include an interactive Museum, as well as launching the Emu Gully Air and Land Spectacular.

Gwenyth Rodgers Gwenyth is also one of Emu Gully's directors and is the person who makes it all happen. She is our front line receptionist and has a very unique ability to meet group needs in terms of dates and accomodation as well as running every aspect of the Emu Gully office.

Mark Freeman Mark is a CPA and manages Emu Gully's finances. He has a heart to see Emu Gully grow and develop and works tirelessly to that end. He has had many years of experience with Emu Gully since it's inception, as well as administrating accounts for both Toowoomba City Church and Toowoomba Christian College.

Phil Box Phil Box is our off-site director. He is an outstanding rock climber and is qualified in all things to do with climbing and vertical rescues. In addition to providing vital insight at board level, Phil also facilitates on large programs at our Pindari campus.

Darren Copland Darren is a qualified secondary Physical Education teacher with over 13 years of experience of working with young people. He also has Certificate 4 in outdoor recreation and is qualified in senior first aid and lifesaving.
Darren has been part of the Emu Gully team since 2002 as a facilitator and is also working in the office on program development and staff management. His heart is to see Emu Gully continue to grow and develop and have a positive impact on as many lives as possible.

Laurence Tate Laurie has worked for Emu Gully full time since 1998. He has a Certificate 4 in outdoor recreation and is qualified in senior first aid and lifesaving. Laury is also a recognised leader with the National Outdoor Leader's Recognition Scheme.
Laurie has a very distinctive style of relating to people of all ages and backgrounds and has played a major role in the development of Emu Gully, not just in terms of programs and activities, but also in construction and site development.

Peter Thorndike Peter has been a member of the Emu Gully team since 2006. He is a qualified primary teacher with over 10 years experience of dealing with young people. Peter is also qualified in senior first aid and lifesaving.
Peter has a gentle approach when dealing with people and is able to rely on all his skills and experience to draw the most out of participants. Pete has made a significant contribution to the professional manner in which all facets of Emu Gully are undertaken.

Alistair Ferries Al has worked for Emu Gully part time since 1996 and full time since 1999. He has a Certificate 4 in outdoor recreation and is a registered leader with the National Outdoor Leader Recognition Scheme. He is also qualified in senior first aid and lifesaving, and has recently completed a diploma in life coaching.
Alistair has a very unique and hard hitting approach, with an uncanny ability to speak directly into the lives of young people and help them to make the necessary choices they need to grow.

Lynda Rodgers Lynda is a qualified primary teacher with experience in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. She has been part of the Emu Gully team since 2002 and is currently working 4 days a week. Lynda is a registered leader with the National Outdoor Leader's Recognition Scheme and is qualified in Senior first aid and lifesaving.
Lynda brings a fresh perspective to the ANZAC theme and is able to have a significant, positive influence in the lives of all she meets. Lynda has also been instrumental in the development of our Heritage and Stock horse stud.

Anthony Moore Anthony has been a part time member of staff since 2006. He has a Certificate 4 in outdoor recreation and is qualified in senior first aid and lifesaving. Anthony has had many years experience as an outdoor educator working with other Outdoor Education institutions such as Edmund Park and Boystown.
Anthony has a heart to equip young people to grow and develop and make something of their lives. He has a very dry wit and is able to relate to all in a very calm and professional manner.

Adam Sutton Adam is our head cook and has been part of the team since 2006. Adam is in charge of all aspects of the kitchen from food ordering to meal delivery, as well as managing the other kitchen staff. Adam has trained under various chefs in Toowoomba and consistently delivers meals of the highest standard to all our guests.
Adam has a heart to serve and always goes the extra mile to cater for a very diverse range of needs.

Rick Tate Rick has worked for Emu Gully for many, many years. After a short spell away Rick returned to us in 2007, and has worked alongside Adam in the kitchen. Rick has undertaken courses in food handling and preparation, and uses his wide range of expertise to deliver the highest quality meals.
Rick demostrates a "can do" attitude and never ceases to go that one step further for each of our guests.

Jude Tate Jude has worked in the kitchen part time since 2007. She plays a very important role in keeping the kitchen functioning efficiently and is always calm and professional.

Janelle Moore Janelle joined our kitchen staff part time in 2009, after 6 years of service at Emu Gully as full time facilitator. Janelle is always very professional and seeks to provide the highest standard of work whether in the kitchen or out in the field.

Ken Copland Ken is a qualified A Grade diesel mechanic who has been part of the Emu Gully team since 2005. His role ranges from general maintenance of both the Helidon and Pindari campuses to activity construction, vehicle maintenance and project development. His commited and thorough approach has seen Emu Gully advance both aesthetically and practically.

Paul Lazarus Paul has many years experience in all things mechanical and electrical as well as serving in the army. Paul has been a part of the Emu Gully team since 2002. He is also responsible for general maintenance of both campuses and also facilitates on Pindari programs. His attitude and ability to make things happen has enabled Emu Gully to continue to succeed and produce outstanding results.

Yvette Copland Yvette works 2 days a week in the office assisting Gwenyth wherever possible. Her role ranges from taking bookings to invoicing, rostering, sending out programs and so on. She is very professional and is a valuable member of the Emu Gully team.

Sandy Hudson Although behind the scenes, Sandy plays the vital role of seeing that our staff are paid on time. Sandy also looks after the bookings for our vacation care program. Her attention to detail and friendly, professional approach helps Emu Gully to continue to run smoothly.

Rod Isaacs Rod is a recent addition to our Emu Gully team, starting in the second half of 2008. Rod is very detailed in his systematic approach, enabling the Helidon campus to be maintained at the highest possible standard. His role also includes pest control and general maintenance of our facilities.
